We are Colchester Cycling Campaign and we aim to make it easier for people aged 8 to 80 to ride a bike to work, school, the shops or just to meet friends.
We aim to help people make cycling part of their everyday lives.

We want to see Dutch or Danish-quality cycleways next to busy roads, and quieter side streets that will encourage more people to ride. We lobby local councils to try to achieve this.
• read our blog / RSS
• join us at Bike Meet, or
• contact us directly.
Are you a pootler, a leisure rider, a tourist or a racer? We don’t arrange rides but we can plug you into local clubs that do.
• Colchester clubs and the cycling calendar.
• Local routes and a cycling map of Colchester.
• Contact us for advice on routes to and from Harwich.

Explore our town (and others in Britain) using the Cyclestreets map, the Cycling UK journey planner (best for longer trips) or the Sustrans map of the National Cycle Network. There’s also an Ordnance Survey map here. Colchester Borough Council’s Cycle Colchester team has a limited number of old-school paper maps – just ask.

Come to Bike Meet – we’d love to hear your ideas. Bike Meet is held at the Old New Inn pub on the third Monday of the month at 8pm. There is safe bike parking through the car park.
Coronavirus: Because of Covid-19, we will meet by video for the foreseeable future. The web address, on the meet.jit.si platform, will be sent out on the CCC email group before the event starts. If you have any questions, please call 07758 464 958.
