Colchester now has a secure cycling hub that is ideal for workers, shoppers and tourists who want to linger and explore Britain’s first city
The hub, run by Colchester City Council, is located in Portal Precinct, just off Sir Isaac’s Walk,
The centre of the city already has more than 100 bike parking spaces on sheffield stands. These are good if you use a Sold Secure lock.– but the new centre offers a lot more security.
The hub provides a secure place for people to park their bikes in the city centre, It is operated by
Spokesafe, who runs several similar hubs across Britain. The opening times are 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. There are several membership options available, including pay-as-you-go bookings from £1 a day. Weekly and monthly memberships are cheaper. Access is available to any member of the community instantly via the Spokesafe app. Photo ID is required for sign-ups on the app. Visit the Spokesafe website to find out more
