Colchester Cycling began in 2001 as an umbrella website for the town's cycling community when many bike groups did not have the resources to create an internet presence.

Now most clubs have their own websites but Colchester Cycling is continuing to bring cycling news, information, links and advice to cyclists in the town and beyond.

Colchester Cycling is created and updated by Will Bramhill, chairman of lobby group Colchester Cycling Campaign, who is also a Sustrans Ranger and member of the national CTC.

The site is made on an Apple Macintosh G4 iMac running OSX 10.4. The software used is Freeway 5.0 from Softpress. Hosting is by Namehog.
