East of England Co-op is to conduct a full review of cycle parking provision at its stores following a request from Colchester Cycling Campaign.
In a letter, Roger Grosvenor, group manager general trading, said: "The Society is mindful of its obligation to the environment and to the communities it serves.
" Where possible and practical the Society installs cycle racks.
"We are pleased to carry out a full review of our facilities and as intimated to install cycle racks where able."
The campaign contacted the society about placing two sheffield stands outside its store in Nayland Road, Colchester.
The organisation is now looking at moving a rack from Victoria Place to Nayland Road.
